(she/her)

Since my first short story (an absolute ✨masterpiece✨ I wrote in first grade about my Barbie doll going camping with her friends) I knew that writing caused something within me to come to life.

Today, my intersectional identity—I’m a neurodivergent Black lesbian—informs much of my work. I never shy away from writing about things deemed inappropriate for polite dinner conversations (race, culture, mental health, death, etc.) This combination of lived experience and comfort with complicated topics allows me to write copy that is vulnerable and relatable, conversational and persuasive.

I’ve created campaigns and ideated copy for Pepsi, 24 Hour Fitness, Jeep/Stallantis, Dove, the San Diego Department of Health and Human Services, and many more through various advertising agencies.

You can find my bylines in Dope Cause We Said, Q26, ZORA, Human Parts, and an ever-increasing list of other blogs and websites.

I currently serve as the owner and Editor-in-Chief at Tagg Magazine, a digital publication holding space for queer women and non-binary folks.

I also own a freelance copy business,
SRM Creative LLC.
